My daughter got a hamster from one of her friends. Although I've never considered getting a hamster for a pet he has been an interesting critter to learn from. My daughter lovingly named him Popcorn. Now that we have him I've been trying to learn more about hamsters. I believe that Popcorn is a Teddy Bear Hamster because of his long shaggy hair. I've also learned that hamsters carry food in their cheek pouches and store food. Popcorn loves broccoli and carrots. He picks certain foods from his bowl to hide behind his hamster wheel.

Cute picture! Hamsters can be very intertaining. I used to have one that would follow me around the house in his "cruiser," a little exercise ball.

He is neat kids used to have one and we always were on a hunt to find it
